The REACH Centre and Gradient have teamed up to provide North American based companies that export chemicals or mixtures to the EU with advice and support to meet their regulatory obligations under EU REACH.
Under the upcoming REACH 2018 deadline, substances that are manufactured in the European Union (EU) or imported from outside the EU in quantities of between 1 and 100 tonnes per year must be registered. Although REACH applies only to products sold in the EU, US and Canadian businesses are affected, because REACH compliance throughout the supply chain is required to do business in Europe.
Both The REACH Centre and Gradient are leading providers of regulatory and chemicals management guidance, toxicology and risk assessment.
Jonathan Lutwyche, CEO of The REACH Centre says: "Over the last couple of years we have successfully supported several hundred companies to meet their REACH requirements. For USA and Canadian based companies it is especially important to understand how they can ensure business continuity and protect their IP in the EU through REACH registration. Gradient is an excellent partner, we are continuing to work with them on a number of other regulatory projects for some major multinational organisations. Strengthening this partnership will allow us to provide extensive support for North American companies to meet their compliance obligations."
To launch this strengthened partnership, The REACH Centre and Gradient will hold a joint free webinar for US companies on "Steps to a Successful REACH 2018 Registration" on 8 October 2015 at 11:00 AM ET.
